Since 1878, Birmingham’s Assay Building had been used for hallmarking precious jewellery and silverware – but TCNUK thought the Grade II listed building itself was a bit of a treasure, and the perfect place to house a cluster of the city’s growing number of digital and creative companies. The fusion of these two worlds has created a building of unique character, with an atmosphere fit for inspiring innovation and collaborative business.
Set in the historic Jewellery Quarter, Assay Studios comprises 33,000 sq. ft. of heritage space. TCN has developed this into a contemporary workspace to suit a range of modern businesses, but in a way that respects its own rich history.
Each office is individual, with its own period character. Rooms are generally single glazed with solid floors, and heating from radiators. The price includes the rental, electricity, service charges, and a basis broadband connection (a shared connection up to 50mbps) but excludes business rates and VAT both of which will be payable.

Working with Yann and the team gave us the peace of mind that we find the best solution in a short time.
We were impressed by their professionalism and ability to negotiate on our behalf, which resulted in a rent free period and significant cost saving due to the serviced office provider agreeing to cover all fit-out and alteration works.
