The Zoologischer Garten train station, provides excellent connectivity to local and long-distance transport. The autobahn provides easy access across the city.
Friedrichshain is located in the east of Berlin and has a vibrant creative and cultural scene. Friedrichshain's alternative vibe makes it a hotspot for startups, especially from the technology and creative industries. In the southern part adjacent to the Spree is Mediaspree with Mercedes Benz Platz. Media and technology companies have settled here, such as MTV, Universal or Zalando. Coco Cola and Amazon are also located along the Spree. The range of flexible offices in the area is growing with providers including WeWork, Design Offices and Scaling Spaces located in Friedrichshain.
The neighbourhood is a popular residential location and has a variety of eateries. In addition, Friedrichshain is known for its bar and club scene and is very popular with young adults.
Friedrichshain is served by the S-Bahn to the south and the U-Bahn line 5 to the north. In the district itself, various metros are in operation.
Often regarded as the government district, this area is popular with companies, associations and institutions that want to work in close proximity to the German federal government and parliament. Berlin Mitte is an important location for business service providers and media companies. The area is undergoing development with a new residential and work district being built in Europacity near the main train station. Among others, KPMG AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaf and Immobilienscout24 are located in the new buildings. Mitt is a hotspot for flexible office space and providers located here include WeWork, Mindspace, The Office Group, Design Offices, St. Oberholz and many more.
The heart of Berlin is concentrated between Alexanderplatz and Berlin Hauptbahnhof: the government quarter, the Humboldt University of Berlin, the Charité hospital and the Friedrichstraße shopping street. Numerous museums, sights, such as the Brandenburg Gate, and a wide range of restaurants attract tourists.
The central station and Alexanderplatz are hubs of public transport in Berlin, with transport links across the entire Mitte area very well developed.
Kreuzberg attracts the creative and artist scene with its alternative flair. it’s a popular area for freelancers and small businesses looking to work near like-minded people with plenty of opportunities for inspiration. The district is also known for its active startup scene: many startups have their origins in Kreuzberg. Core areas include the tech and design industries as well as the creative industries. Especially around Oranienstrasse, a number of flex office spaces have now established themselves, including Mindspace, Techspace, Unicorn and St. Oberholz.
Kreuzberg is a diverse area bringing together people from different cultures and countries. The Bergmannkiez is known for its Wilhelminian-style buildings and array of cafes positioned here. Highlights of the area include Maybachufer and a number of open spaces including Görlitzer Park, the Viktoriapark and the Park am Gleisdreieck providing the perfect place to relax.
Kreuzberg is intersected by several subway lines that connect the district with the city's main hubs.
