Birmingham's central business district is the house for this centre; it has privileged views across Victoria Square to the historic town hall. The pedestrianized square that surrounds this area is considered to be the centre of the city. It has beautiful water fountains, two modern sculptures and a statue of a stern Queen Victoria.
