We launched the 'Workthere Global Flexible Office Sentiment Survey' back in April to gain further insight into how Covid-19 was impacting flexible offices across the globe. We have since carried out surveys in May and July to see how sentiment has changed over time. We are delighted to reveal the results of our most recent survey in October.

Our October survey found that global enquiry levels for flexible office space are now at 54% of normal levels, compared to 20% in April, and most demand is coming from suburban office space, according to 31% of flexible office providers highlighting this was their top source of demand. Downsizing from a lease was the next highest source of demand.

Since our July survey, expectations for the sector over the next three and twelve months have remained similar, with 79% of providers feeling optimistic for the prospects over the next twelve months. The number of occupiers seeking rent reductions also decreased to 22% in October, versus 27% in July and 33% in April.

Take a look at our regional highlights to see how sentiment varies between Asia, Europe and North America here.
