Popularly known as the IT Corridor, it is a 23 km Stretch running between Madhya Kailash Junction and Siruseri. The Perungudi Toll plaza divides this stretch into Pre-Toll OMR and Post Toll OMR. The State-of-the-art IT parks, commercial buildings & residential towers make a picturesque skyline.

Old Mahabalipuram Road is 45 km long. The road starts from Madhya Kailash Temple on Sardar Patel Road in South-East Chennai and terminates on East Coast Road near Mahabalipuram.

OMR Pre Toll:

Exordium of the IT Corridor contributes the highest office space stock compared to the other locations in the city. The presence of major developers and international funds like CapitaLand, Maple Tree, TRIL etc and around 2 Mn Sq.ft is under development by DLF. Brigade WTC brings the world’s most desirable business address to Chennai. Joining the ranks of 334 WTCs present across the globe, WTC Chennai will be the tallest commercial establishment in the city.

OMR Post Toll:

Post-Toll is host to several IT/ITES firms along with several MNCs that have set up their facilities. The presence of great residential complexes makes it possible for residents to live closer to their workplaces. Xander, Ozone, Pacifica are a few of the established developers/ Landlords on this stretch.

Which business sectors does this area attract?

This corridor has numerous business parks which house marquee firms like Amazon, Shell, BNY Mellon, Bank of America, Cognizant, AstraZeneca to name a few. Advantage of being closer to the city centre, OMR Pre Toll has been the most preferred location for office space occupiers.

Transport Links

Being closer to the City Centre, OMR Pre Toll is well connected by the Mass Rapid Transit System and other major public transport systems.  Pallavaram Thoraippakm Road or 200ft Radial Road eases the commutation from Post Toll OMR to the other side of the city and as well as to the Airport. Work on Phase II of Chennai Metro has commenced, and this covers the entire stretch of OMR and bridges the gap between other parts of the city.

Runs parallel to the East Coast Road which is the major attraction for people to relax with a good sea view. Mutukadu lake near OMR offers rowboats, pedal boats, water scooters and windsurfing for adventure seekers.
