Around 759,000 citizens live in Frankfurt am Main. The city has been one of the most important urban centres in Germany since the Middle Ages. The city centre is the economic heart of Frankfurt and is home to the banking district with its modern skyscrapers as well as the old town with the famous Römerplatz. The banking district is the office centre of Frankfurt. The location is characterized by corporate headquarters and representative offices. In particular companies from the financial, legal and management consulting sectors have their headquarters here. Around the banking district, almost all types of business across a range of industries are present.There’s a wide variety of flexible workspaces located here including several business centre providers as well as WeWork, Mindspace and Workrepublic.
the city centre’s historic old town and popular timber-framed houses attract numerous tourists and locals, as well as the variety of culinary delights in this area. The centre is surrounded by parks of the old ramparts. There is also a wide range of shopping on the Zeil (Frankfurt's main shopping street) and the side streets.
The banking district is very well-connected to public transport due to its proximity to Frankfurt's main train station and the dense network of S-Bahn and U-Bahn lines.
Typical office users based in Sachsenhausen include agencies, insurance companies and medical facilities. Sachsenhausen is also a popular location for law firms and consulting companies, many of which are located in historic buildings. Creative and media companies are also positioned here, in particular along the Main River promenade. This area is home to a small flexible office scene, with providers including SleevesUp! and Regus. Given its vibrant atmosphere, the area has plenty of potential for more flexible offices to open in the future.
Sachsenhausen is located south of the city centre and is famous for its garden wine taverns, including the serving of Frankfurt's famous apple wine. The numerous pubs and clubs, as well as the charm of the historic alleys and buildings, attract a particularly young crowd to this neighbourhood. The area is also famous for the Sachsenhausen museum mile, which offers a wide range of cultural activities. Relax on the banks of the Main River, with views of the Frankfurt skyline. and explore the local stores and markets.
The "Frankfurt (Main) Süd" train station located in the district makes the area very easy to reach by public transport.
The Europaviertel is home to corporate headquarters, back-office units and also small representative offices. Office users are dominated by companies from the IT, retail, logistics, consulting and finance sectors. The supply of flexible workspaces in the Europaviertel is limited, but the area is home to household names including Regus and SleevesUp!
The Europaviertel is centrally located between Messe Frankfurt and the main train station and is the last major inner-city development area in the city. The young district is characterized by the exhibition hall, new buildings and a strong mix of office, (high-end) residential, hotel and retail uses. The "Skyline Plaza" shopping centre in the east of the district offers a very good local retail supply.
The quarter is well-connected to public transport. The extension of the U5 line from the main train station to the Europaviertel will further improve connections to the district in the future.
